n. an empty or unoccupied place. The state of being available
We hear the word “vacancy” and we think of empty hotel rooms or blank spaces. We think of travel, meeting new people, enjoying our stay at a location not of our own. We are truly out in the world, set to experience life. But the reality is sometimes being at a hotel is very alienating and lonely. At the end of the day, we are just as alone as when we started.
